I think we are now on the age where web series are thriving. A job well done might just get you the recognition you need, if not a viral amount of views across the world. I know it's easier than done, but it think it's picking the right stories people want to see.

I was just on two back to back pilot episodes of web series. Seeing the drive of the director really motivated me to start writing something on my own again.
